This suntan-controlling cosmetic contains 0.5-20 (pref. 2.0-10,0)wt.% of an interference substance emitting red interference light consisting of titanium dioxide-coated mica, and has appearance hue corresponding to pref. the YR region in Munsell color map, with a brightness of ≤6.0 and chroma of ≥3.0. Having these characteristics, this cosmetic enables increasing the reflected light of the skin of no transparent feeling with low internal reflectivity as compared with that of the skin of transparent feeling in the red reflected light region of ≥600nm in wavelength.
