On the outer peripheral surface of an ellipse-shaped winding core 10 that continuously surrounds an axis 100, belt-shaped superconducting wires are wound in the opposite direction each other, while positions are changed to the axial direction. The superconducting coil has a double pancake structure, wherein the innermost edge of an upper coil and that of a lower coil are electrically connected each other. When a terminal 21a (21b) of a belt-shaped wire 20 extracted from the same end side of the straight line section 2a of a racetrack is connected with an electrode 3, a side face 22 on the longer side of the terminal 21a (21b) of a belt-shaped wire 20 is laid over and connected with the inner side surface 31 of the longer side of a terminal 3a (3b), in a state where the plate width direction of the terminal 3a (3b) is directed toward the axis 100.
