Abstract:
To provide a switching power supply device capable of preventing a deviation from a harmonic regulation.
The switching power supply device 100 includes: a power factor improvement circuit 1 that converts an input AC voltage into a DC voltage; a DC-DC converter section 52 that boosts the converted DC voltage and supplies the voltage to a load; a malfunction detection circuit 6 that detects a malfunction in the power factor improvement circuit 1; and a stopping circuit 7 that stops the operation of the DC-DC converter section 52 when the malfunction detection circuit 6 detects a malfunction in the power factor improvement circuit 1.
