Title:
SYNTHETIC RESIN-COATED METALLIC OBJECT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03169614
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To apply beautiful and clear pattern onto the surface of a metallic tube by a method in which while the tapelike object of synthetic resin is spirally wound around the outer periphery of a metallic core so that its ends are superimposed, its end parts are fusion-welded.

CONSTITUTION: The tapelike object 2 of synthetic resin is the material which is not orientated, i.e., is not almost shrunk by heating, and moreover any material whose surface is capable of being printed, etc., may be almost used. The width of the tapelike object 2 is normally about 20-50mm, but suitable object is used according to the size of a core 1 or the pattern to be printed. The tapelike object 2 having the thickness of about 0.05-0.5mm is preferably used, but it is not limited especially. When the tapelike object 2 is wound around a metallic core 3, an adhesive, etc., is unnecessary according to said winding method, but the surface of the core 3 is preferably coated with the adhesive of hot melt type, the adhesive of flux type or the adhesive of pressure-sensitive type, etc., to prevent the deviation of the tapelike object. The rear surface of the tapelike object is also coated with an adhesive preferably.
