Abstract:
To provide a system capable of monitoring a wheel rotation speed without using a conventional wheel speed sensor comprising a magnetic disk and a pickup coil and a method of this system.
In this system, a processor 8 performs Fast Fourier Transformation of a radial acceleration to obtain a signal frequency in the range of 0-25 Hz representing the wheel rotation speed based on the radial acceleration of a tyre detected by a sensor 2. The obtained signal frequency is transmitted from a transmitting circuit 16 to a vehicle control module 26 to be used for various controls.
