Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a tandem rolling mill high in plate crown control capacity and, complex shape correction capacity, which is free from fears for scratches of a material and a roll, and having a high productivity by a high load.
CONSTITUTION: In the preceding stage of a tandem rolling mill, a pair of operation rolls 2 and 3 are allowed to cross in the opposite direction up an down in the horizontal plane by a certain angle to reinforcing rolls 6 and 7 supporting a pair of operation rolls 2 and 3. The first rolling mills 8 to 11 controlling the distribution of a thickness in the width direction, and the-second rolling mills 12 to 14 controlling a plate crown and a shape by using the movements of rolls 4 and 5 in the axial direction and operation roll bending at the same time at the post -stage, are installed at least one set respectively. Highly wear- resistant composite rolls are used to at least operation rolls of these rolling mills.
