Abstract:

To improve safety when information to be kept secret is stored in a storage center on a network.

A user's terminal device 1 which accesses a data managing device 2 through a communication line and makes the data managing device store encrypted data, an encryption key share, generated based upon a master share as one of pieces of original information by which an encryption key thereof is deencrypted, as the other piece of original information, and one of two shares generated by dividing the master share by a secrecy dispersing method is provided with: a master share storage means of storing the master share; and a master share updating means of generating a new master share based upon the master share stored in the master share storage means and a sub-share received from the data managing device, and rewriting the master share stored in the master share storage means.
