The thermal transfer device includes: heating means for heating a glossy sheet in a state where the glossy sheet having a base material sheet and a transfer resin layer overlaps with a body to be transferred so that the transfer resin layer is in contact with the body to be transferred; cooling means for cooling the glossy sheet heated and bonded to a surface of the body to be transferred; and peeling means for peeling the base material sheet away from the glossy sheet bonded to the surface of the body to be transferred.
