Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING POLYESTER FILM AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0373390
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal transfer recording polyester film joined by heat resistance by a method wherein after applying electronbeam settable resin to a side surface of a polyester film, it is stretched and is irradiated by electron beams to form a coated layer of the electron beam setting resin.

CONSTITUTION: A polyester film obtained by elongation and irradiation of electron beams after application of electron beams settable resin to a side surface of the polyester film before crystal orientation is completed, is jointed by heat resistance. Therefore, when this film is used, a thermal transfer recording sheet can be produced on an opposite surface of a heat resistant coated surface only by one process in which thermal fusible ink is applied. Further, polyester acrylate, epoxy acrylate, polyurethane acrylate, polyester acrylate, melamine acrylate, alkyd acrylate, and silicon acrylate are used as the electron beam setting resin.
