Abstract:
To provide an image display device free of any defect in the picture element capable of facilitating the fabrication of a defectfree, thin-film type electron source array.
A second protective insulating layer 19 is formed under upper bus electrodes 16 and 17 to serve as a current feeder line to the upper electrode 13 of the thin-film type electron source array, and any defects of a protective insulating layer 14 to restrict an electron emission part are covered with the insulating layer 19.
