Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently change thread at a low cost in a simple structure in a sewing machine.
SOLUTION: A thread winding unit 30 capable of winding the thread of a thread barrel of spool pins 31 and 32 is freely attachably and detachably mounted on a sewing machine main body 1a. The sewing machine 1 is provided with a delivery motor 12 for delivering the thread at the time of sewing, a needle thread state detection sensor 20 arranged between the delivery motor 12 and the thread winding unit 30 for detecting tension of the thread and a CPU 81a for controlling a thread winding operation on the basis of the detection signals. In the sewing machine 1, every time the tension of the thread is detected by the sensor 20, the thread is delivered to the thread winding unit 30 by intermittently driving the delivery motor 12 in an opposite direction to the one at the time of sewing and the thread winding unit 30 winds the delivered thread to the thread barrel. At the time of recognizing that a prescribed amount of the thread is wound, the CPU 81a stops winding.
