PURPOSE: To provide a honeycomb structural body excellent in joining strength of a corrugated plate and an outer cylinder electrode at an outer circumferential terminal part.
CONSTITUTION: In the honeycomb structure made by winding spirally a flat plate 21 and a corrugated plate 22 around each other, the outer circumferential terminal part is formed from a multiple outer cylindrical part 45 made by winding the tip part 211 of the flat plate 21 and a flattened part 311 integrally formed at the tip part of the corrugated plate 31 plural times around each other. The multiple outer cylindrical part 45 is constituted of the outer cylinder electrode. The multiple outer cylindrical part 45 is preferably in the state of connecting the tip part 211 to the flattened part 311 at the outer circumferential part and the other hand, of not connecting at the inner circumferential part.
