Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the carrying material having bactericidal properties and capable of suppressing proliferation of various saprophytes by derivating a hydrocarbon into a carbon fiber in specific conditions, forming a Cu layer or an Ag layer on the surface of the carbon fiber and further mixing the carbon fiber with a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective carrying material obtained by forming a thin-film Cu layer or a thin-film Ag layer 3 by vacuum deposition, electrolytic plating, etc., on the surface of a carbon fiber formed by a vapor phase method for thermal decomposition of a hydrocarbon such as benzene together with ultrafine powder of a high melting point metal (compound) such as Fe or Co as the formation-starting core to form a thin-film Cu or Ag layer 3 and further mixing the carbon fiber 2 into a synthetic resin such as ABS resin, and suitable for transportation of meats, vegetables, etc.
