Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a bootstrap circuit having a capacitor which is capable of generating a high voltage sufficient to drive a MOS transistor (TR), even when electricity is fed by a low-voltage source by connecting a bipolar TR to a bootstrap node in which a couple of drivers are connected. CONSTITUTION: A voltage signal Vin is inputted to the input port of a 1st voltage driver 250, a 2nd voltage driver 350, and a transistor 265 and switched between a power source voltage VDDA and GND to activate a MOS element 255 and the bipolar TR 265. Then when the voltage signal Vin and the voltage at the output port of the bootstrap node 750 and 2nd voltage driver 350 are both high, the voltage signal Vin is held low to turn on the TR 265 and MOS element 255. Here, a positive voltage below GND is developed at the bootstrap node 750 with the voltage applied to the capacitor 550, through the delay operation of the 2nd voltage driver 350.
