PURPOSE: To provide a damping sheet made easy to follow a curved surface to adhere thereto and capable of developing high damping action by providing a viscoelastic layer based on unvulcanized rubber and containing a vulcanizing agent and the release sheet laminated to a self-adhesive layer having curing properties.
CONSTITUTION: A damping sheet 1A consists of a laminate 2A formed by laminating a viscoelastic layer 3 to a self-adhesive layer 4 and the release sheet 5 bonded to the self-adhesive layer 4. The viscoelastic layer 4 is characterized by that rubber viscosity [JISK-6300 rotor L-type Mooney viscometer ML1+4 (100°C)] before vulcanization is 10-80 and dynamic shearing elastic modulus after vulcanization is 1×106-1×1010dyn/cm2. This damping sheet 1A develops excellent damping action and noise absorbing action with respect to an adherend by bonding the same to the adherend to vulcanize the viscoelastic layer 3 and develops high bonding strength by curing the self-adhesive layer 3.
