Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic head supporting mechanism causing less damage due to collision between a slider and a medium.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic head slider 21 is fixedly supported by the middle part 31 of a gimbal spring 30. This gimbal spring 30 is fixed to a load beam 41. The gimbal spring 30 is provided with an inclination of 5 minutes to 3 degrees for inclining itself in the direction of separating a front end (air inflow end part) 23 of the magnetic head slider 21 from the magnetic disk medium 10.
