To provide a tool and apparatus which can remove an oil film and water surface suspended matter such as dust without any worker with automatic adaptation to a change in the position of the height of the water surface.

This water surface suspended matter removing apparatus incorporates the following water surface suspended matter removing tool. Specifically, a pipe 2 in communication with a pump 4 and a filter 5 is provided with an opening water suction part 1 from the upper side through a fitting pipe 13 fixed underneath a water suction part 1 in such a state that the vertical position is adjustable. The area of the opening part of the opening water suction part 1 is larger than the sectional area of the pipe. A surrounding frame is fixed on the lower part of the opening water suction part 1 so as to provide a space in cooperation with the pipe 2 or the fitting pipe 13. Further, a pump 4 and a filter 5 in communication with a water drainage groove, and a water surface suspended matter removing tool in communication with one of the pump 4 and filter 5.
