Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control the rotary position and to enable to control rotary torque by receiving the quantity of light passed from a rotary slit plate secured to a shaft and a stationary slit plate, and measuring the quantity of the torque and the rotary position. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a motor rotates a load through a shaft 9. A deforming portion 9' which is feasibly elastically deformed (twisted) is formed at part of this shaft 9. To measure the twisting amount, two rotary slit plates 12a, 12b secured by clamping brackets 9 to the both sides of this portion 9', and a light source 11 for emitting a light to the slits, and a photodetector 15 for photoelectrically converting the received light are provided to measure the torque. A stationary slit plate 13 is provided oppositely to the one slit plate 12b, the light from the source 1 through the plate 13 is received by the photodetector 14, and the position is measured. Thus, the rotary torque and the position can be measured in noncontact with the rotary portion.
