Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish unlikelihood of generation of a drag torque and maintain the current shaft diameter.
SOLUTION: A turbine hub 37 is composed of a boss 38 engaged with an input shaft 3 in such a way as impossible to make relative rotation and a flange 39 extending outward in the radial direction from the boss 38. A clutch mechanism 21 is installed between a front cover 8 and a turbine 18 in their axial direction, and torque transmission and shutoff are made between the front cover 8 and flange 39. A piston 59 is arranged movably in the axial direction between the front cover 8 and clutch mechanism 21 and flange 39 in their axial direction. The inner circumferential edge of the piston 59 abuts to the outside surface 51 of the boss 38 in such a way as movable in the axial direction, and a first space A is formed in the area to the flange 39, while a second space B is formed with respect to the front cover 8. The boss 38 is provided with a first oil passage 53 leading between a shaft oil passage 3a and the first space A and a second oil passage 54 leading between a third space C and the oil passage B, wherein the first 53 and second oil passages 54 are arranged alternately not intersecting each other.
