To prevent development of a crack in a cushion layer by forming a cushion layer having a cog with an inner peripheral surface protected by woven fabric at the inside of a tensile force layer having an outside protective layer on its back face and setting a weave texture angle of woven fabric in a cog groove part so as to be larger than that in a crest part.
In a transmission belt 1 with cog constituted by forming a cushion layer 18 having a cog 2 with an inner peripheral surface protected by woven fabric 3 at the inside of a tensile force layer 4 having an outside protective layer 5 on its back face, a weave texture angle β of woven fabric in a cog groove part 8 of the cog 2 is molded so as to be larger than a weave texture angle α of woven fabric of a crest part 7. Namely, the weave texture angle α of woven fabric of the crest part 7 is set 80° to 130° and the weave texture angle β of woven fabric in the cog groove part 8 is formed so as to be larger than a folding angle α of the crest part 7 by 7° to 30°. As the woven fabric 3 to be used as a protective layer of the cushion layer 18, cotton, nylon and polyester are used, and the woven fabric 3 cut bias is joined long.
