To provide a tufting machine capable of preventing a free pile yarn cut between a base fabric and a needle from separating from the threading hole of the needle by disposing a pile yarn-pressing member for pressing the pile yarn to the needle.

A yarn-pressing member 13 for pressing a pile yarn 14 to a needle 12 is disposed at a position faced to the side surface of the needle 12 pulled out from a base fabric 11 to hold the pile yarn 14 passed through the hole of the needle 12 between the yarn-pressing member 13 and the needle 12. Thus, the pile yarn 14 is not separated from the hole of the needle, and the pile 19 can surely be tufted in the base fabric 11 to prevent the generation of a defective tufted fabric.
