Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerator capable of using both of a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant or using only the gas refrigerant as a refrigerant that is supplied from a refrigeration cycle to an electric motor and is used for cooling the electric motor for driving a turbo compressor and of preventing deterioration of efficiency of a refrigerator by reducing agitation loss.SOLUTION: A turbo refrigerator includes: an evaporator 3 for evaporating a refrigerant by depriving cooling water of heat to exhibit a refrigeration effect; a turbo compressor 1 for compressing the refrigerant by using an impeller; an electric motor 12 for driving the turbo compressor 1; and a condenser 2 for cooling the compressed refrigerant by using cooling water for condensation. The turbo refrigerator further includes: gas refrigerant supply piping 6 for supplying a gas refrigerant from the condenser 2 to the electric motor 12; and liquid refrigerant supply piping 7 for supplying a liquid refrigerant from the condenser 2 to the electric motor 12. By using both of the gas refrigerant and the liquid refrigerant, the electric motor 12 is cooled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
