Abstract:
PURPOSE: To miniaturize a turbopump with trap panel without degrading its characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle part 33 and an impeller 34 are stored inside the pump case 32 of a turbopump 31. A trap panel 38 is disposed at an intake opening 36 in a pump case 32. The trap panel 38 includes an annular trap panel 39, a supporting frame 40 whose central part crosses and outer end is mounted on the annular trap panel 39, and a central part trap panel 41 mounted on the crossing part of the supporting frame 40. The inside diameter of the annular trap panel 39 is almost the same as the outside diameter of the impeller 34, and the shape and diameter of the central part trap panel 41 are almost the same as those of the spindle part 33 of the impeller 34.
