To provide a turn bar obtained by enhancing strength of a connection part between the turn bar and a journal with a simple and compact configuration.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a turn bar comprising: a hollow cylindrical roll body 2; a journal 12 which has a tip portion inserted into an axial line direction end portion of the roll body so as to be connected to the roll body; a plurality of ring members 4a to 4h each of which is formed of a porous material having permeability, is engaged to an outer periphery of the roll body including the axial line direction end portion of the roll body with the journal inserted therein, and has a circumferential direction groove 6 extending in a circumferential direction on an inner peripheral face; and a plurality of air supply passages which extend in a radial direction inside the turn bar so as to cause an inner space of the roll body to communicate with the circumferential direction groove of the ring members. A connection part between the roll body and the journal comprises a plurality of annular connection parts 14a, 14b, 14c, and 14d whose diameters become smaller inwardly toward an axial line direction in order, and some air supply passages 24a, 24b, and 24c penetrate between adjoining annular connection parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
