To obtain a two-cycle engine oil that has a low smell, a high flash point and improved engine smoke performance, etc., even by the use of a kerosene gas or kerosene fraction as a diluent oil for a two-cycle engine oil, is mixed with a high-viscosity lubricating component having excellent lubricating properties and improves miscibility with gasoline.

The two-cycle engine oil comprises a diluent oil having a saturated component content of ≥90 vol.%, a sulfur content of 0-30 ppm, an aniline point of ≥65°C, an initial boiling point of 140-280°C, an end point of 200-350 °C and a cetane index of ≥55.
