Abstract:
Provided are: a UV sterilization device which sterilizes a fluid with certainty by enhancing the sterilization ability by causing ultra-violet light emitted from an ultraviolet light emitting element to be repeatedly reflected for irradiation; and a water server provided with the UV sterilization device. This UV sterilization device (100) is provided with a pipe body (120) for irradiation with ultra-violet light which sterilizes a fluid by irradiating the fluid with ultra-violet light L, the pipe body has built therein an ultraviolet light irradiation unit (140) at least formed by: an ultraviolet light emitting element (141) which emits the ultra-violet light L toward the interior of the pipe body (120) for irradiation with ultra-violet light; a pipe-shaped spacer (146) which is inserted in the pipe body (120) for irradiation with ultra-violet light, and holds the ultraviolet light emitting element (141); a circular pipe-shaped synthetic quartz pipe (147) which allows the fluid to flow through the pipe body (120) for irradiation with ultra-violet light; and parabolic reflection mirrors (148a), (148b) which are disposed so as to face each other across an upstream section of the synthetic quartz pipe (147), and which repeatedly reflect most of the ultra-violet light emitted from the ultraviolet light emitting element (141).
