NEW MATERIAL: Urethane of formula I [Rf is 4-20C perfluoroalkyl, R'fSO2NR1 (R'f is 4-20C perfluoroalkyl; R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl); x is 1-4; y is 0-10; m is 1-2; n is 1-2, m+n is 3 or less; A is formulas II, III; X is O, NH; Z is 1-3; R is 1-18C alkyl, 2-18C alkenyl, aryl, etc.].
USE: A treating agent for a fiber material and leather, especially giving good hydrophobic and lipophobic properties.
PROCESS: An aliphatic fluorinated alcohol of formula IV is reacted with a di or triisocyanate conforming to one of the groups of formulas II, III, etc., at a temp. of 70-150°C in the presence of Lewis acid to obtain an adduct of formula V. Next, the adduct is reacted with a substituted phenol of formula VI or aniline at a temp. of 70-150°C to obtain the compound of formula I.
