Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax thermal conduction from a part of a rotation transmission member to be heated by high temperature fluid to a timing pulley and restrain temperature rise which is caused as a radiating area of a part of the rotation transmission member is increased by providing a cavity part between an outer periphery of a part of the rotation transmission member and the timing pulley positioned outward in the diametrical direction of the part.
SOLUTION: This device is constituted to be furnished with a fluid pressure chamber R0 formed between a rotation transmission member (outside rotor 30) integrally having a timing pulley 60 and s rotary shaft (inside rotor 20) and divided into an oil chamber R1 for an advance angle and an oil chamber R2 for a delay angle and a fluid oil feeding and discharging means (change-over valve) to feed and discharge fluid selectively to and from the chamber R1 for the advance angle and the chamber R2 for the delay angle and to control opening and closing timing of an intake valve or an exhaust valve of an internal combustion engine. A cavity part S is provided between an outer periphery of a part of the rotation transmission member forming the fluid pressure chamber between the rotary shaft and itself and the timing pulley positioned outward in the diametrical direction of the part.
