Abstract:
To improve security of a vehicle platform with respect to an automatic operation system.SOLUTION: A VCIB 40 establishes an interface between an ADS 11 and a VP 20 that controls a vehicle 1 in accordance with a control request from the ADS 11. The VP 20 has a sleep mode in which the VCIB 40 is not started and a wake mode in which the VCIB 40 is started by power supply from an auxiliary battery provided in the VP 20. The VCIB 40 comprises a processor and a memory that memorizes a program that can be executed by the processor. The processor, when the VP 20 transfers from the sleep mode to the wake mode in accordance with an electric power-mode instruction from the ADS 11, executes device authentication to the ADS 11. The processor starts communicating with the ADS 11 when executing the device authentication successfully.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
