Abstract:
To provide a drum brake device for a vehicle which can collect the abrasion powder of a lining by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A drum brake 3 attached to a vehicle body is arranged inside a brake drum 2 which rotates integrally with wheels. The brake drum 2 is formed into a bottomed cylindrical shape having a bottom plate 2a attached to a hub of the wheel, and a cylinder part 2c having a slide contact face 2b slide-contacting with linings 5a, 6a of brake shoes 5, 6 of the drum brake 3 on an internal peripheral face, and an abrasion powder collection plate 7 for collecting the abrasion powder of the linings 5a, 6a which are generated by the slide-contact with the slide contact face 2b is attached to the bottom plate 2a. The abrasion powder is adsorbed to the abrasion powder collection plate 7 which is electrified by friction with an airflow by a Coulomb force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
