To provide a vehicle guard device widely applicable to vehicles including an ordinary vehicle and an automatically operated vehicle.
This vehicle guard device is provided with first front guard wheels 11L, 11R arranged on a front side more than front wheels 2L, 2R, first transmitting means 7, 8, 10, 20 for transmitting horizontal displacement force of the first front guard wheels as steering force, second front guard wheels 23L, 23R arranged on a rear side in the forward and backward directions of the vehicle more than the first front guard wheels and on a front side more than the front wheels, and second transmitting means 21L, 21R for transmitting horizontal displacement force of the second front guard wheels as steering force. This vehicle guard device is provided with two different types and systems of the front guard wheels constituted by arranging the first front guard wheels on a center side in the right and left directions of the vehicle 1 more than the second front guard wheels to cope with a wide scope of different collision forms.
