Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle side part structure that allows collision loads to be rapidly transmitted to a rocker inner panel at a lateral collision with a collision body such as a pole and to accelerate sensing by a lateral collision detecting sensor.SOLUTION: A bracket 52 made of metal is arranged outside in a vehicle width direction of a longitudinal wall portion 26A of a rocker outer panel 26 of a rocker 12. The bracket 52 includes a main body portion 54 having a pair of front and rear protruding portions 54B integrally formed and a lower joint portion 62 extended from a bottom portion 54A of the main body portion 54 to inside in the vehicle width direction. The main body portion 54 is spot-welded to the longitudinal wall portion 26A of the rocker outer panel 26 at a front joint portion 54E and a rear joint portion 54F. Further, the lower joint portion 62 is spot-welded to a lower wall portion 26C of the rocker outer panel 26.
