Cleaning between the top of the counter face part 56 of a wiper blade 48 and the top of a wall face 52 of a wiper arm 12 is set at a minimum clearance within the range in which the top of the wall face 52 will not abut the top of the counter face part 56 even if a wiper blade 48 is turned. The top of the counter face part 56 is formed in the shape of an arc about a rivet shaft 50 so that clearance between the top of the wall face 52 and the top of the counter face part 56 is set at the minimum clearance in an optional turned position of the wiper blade 48. Thus, foreign matters such as snow or stone pieces can be restrained or prevented from being caught in a gap between the wall face 52 of the wiper arm 12 and the counter face part 56 of the wiper blade 48 and impeding or preventing turn of the wiper blade 48 relative to the wiper arm 12.
