To exhibit a sufficient vibration control effect only when vertical vibration and horizontal vibration of an optional set value or more acts on a low-rise building, and to not to exhibit the sufficient vibration control effect when the vertical vibration and the horizontal vibration acted on the low-rise building are less than the optional set value (seismic intensity of about 5, for example).
A vibration control mechanism 1 is constituted of a base plate 4, a resistance member 5 having a trapezoidal waveform resistance part 5a, and a leaf spring body 6 having a substantially omega shaped recess 6a. The base plate 4, the resistance member 5, and the leaf spring body 6 are integrally connected with each other in a state of the resistance part 5a and the recess 6a in contact with each other. The base plate 4 side is fixed to a foundation 2, and the top part of the recess 6a is fixed to a sill 3 via a fixed piece 11. Further, the resistance member 5 is set to a strength to collapse when a vertical vibration of a value more than the optional set value is acted.
