To carry out simple and assured vibration control execution regardless of the shape and size of a collecting pipe, by arranging a bandlike body formed of a specific elastic material, and arranging an adhesive part on one surface of the bandlike body.
A vibration controlling elastic body 1 used for the vibration control executing method for a collecting pipe is characterized by arranging a bandlike body 11 formed of an elastic body, and arranging an adhesive part 12 on one surface 11a of the bandlike body 11. In this case, a recessed groove 14 along a longitudinal direction may be formed in one surface 11a of the bandlike body 11, the elastic material may be an elastomer material having spring hardness of Hs(JISA) 40-70 degrees, a chloroprene rubber composition or a rubber material which can keep its original shape even though burnt, and a groove 15 along the longitudinal direction may be arranged on the other surface 11b which is a side opposite to the one surface of the bandlike body 11, and further, the width of the bandlike body 11 may be 2 to 10 times the tickness of the bandlike body 11. Namely, the vibration controlling elastic body 1 can be fixed in a condition that it is tightly connected to a collecting pipe P, therefore a vibration controlling function to absorb the vibration of the collecting pipe P can be exhibited.
