To provide a walk guide system and a walk guide method capable for guiding accurately a user to a desired place by a voice, by detecting a head direction of the user, even when the user stopped once.
Radio waves including identification information for two transmitters respectively are automatically transmitted at the same time from the two transmitters attached to a head set 20 mounted on a blind person 10. The two transmitted radio waves are received by transceivers 3A-3C installed in a station yard, and reception signals are supplied to a station computer 5. The station computer 5 calculates the present position of the blind person 10, based on the reception signals, and calculates the direction of a head. The station computer 5 finds further a destination place based on the reception signals, concludes a route up to the destination place, based on the present position and the direction, and then starts the voice guide up to the destination place by transmitting it to the blind person 10 via the transceiver 3A.
