Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject readily water-dispersible powder, slowly settling powder in dispersing in water and easily redispersible even after settling with hardly any consolidation by using a specific surfactant together with a specified compound and treating the surface of vitamin K powder therewith.

CONSTITUTION: The objective powder obtained by treating the surface of vitamin K powder with a mixture consisting of (A) a fatty acid ester-based nonionic surfactant, preferably containing polyoxyethylene groups with 10-20 HLB and an 8-22C higher fatty acid as a fatty acid and (B) one or more selected from poly(meth)acrylates, preferably Na poly(meth)acrylate having 2000-1000000 molecular weight, etc., saccharides, preferably anhydrous crystalline maltose, etc., fatty acid salts, preferably Na salt of a 6-24C fatty acid, etc., and silica powder, preferably silicon oxide having about 10μm average particle diameter, etc., at (1/9)-(9/1) mixing ratio of the ingredients (A)/(B). The above-mentioned powder is dispersed in drinking water for animals and used.
