Abstract:

To provide a water removing machine from umbrella in which an efficient dewatering operation can be carried out, while the umbrella is being transported with water absorbing belts.

A water removing machine 10 from umbrella is constructed such that an umbrella is held between a pair of water absorbing belts 30a, 30b running in opposed relation from each other, moisture adhered to the umbrella is absorbed by water absorbing belts while it is being transported by a pair of water absorbing belts 30a, 30b. A relative speed in running of a pair of opposing water removing belts 30a, 30b is varied to cause the umbrella to be rotated in a reverse direction within a range of predetermined angle in a swirling state, the umbrella is press contacted with the water removing belts 30a, 30b uniformly over an entire circumference of the umbrella. Additionally, the water removing belts 30a, 30b are also press contacted with the overlapped portion, as well as the deep side of the umbrella cloth to perform entirely a uniform water removal operation for the umbrella.
