Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water treatment equipment using filter sand comprising a monitoring sight glass part configured in an appropriate form to allow an appropriate secure observation of inside of a filtration tank to appropriately detect conditions of a filtration process and a backwash process.SOLUTION: Water treatment equipment comprises a cylindrically-shaped filtration tank 10 that stores and stacks filter sand 11 inside for removing contaminated water and is configured to purify the contaminated filter sand during a backwash process implemented when absorption performance of the filter sand 11 drops. The filtration tank 10 is cylindrically formed and provided with a monitoring sight glass 30 disposed on a side wall 12. The monitoring sight glass 30 comprises a box frame part 31 including a box-shaped concave part 31a inside; a first packing 32; a transparent plate 33 disposed inside the box-shaped concave part 31a; a second packing 34; and fixing frame 35 fixing them by sandwiching them with an inner bottom surface 31b of the box frame part 31.
