Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device by which a wax occlusion rim used to prepare a false tooth in dentistry, particularly, a wax surface of an upper jaw side occlusion rim can be speedily and simply smoothed.
CONSTITUTION: A wax occlusion rim smoothing device is composed of a wax heating body 1 formed as a heating surface by forming a large number of small through-holes 12 on an upper surface and an electric heater to heat the wax heating body 1, and a lower part of the wax heating body 1 is formed as a space 9 in which melted wax drops in a pan 6. This electric heater is a wax occlusion rim softening device composed of a thin layer body where a large number of metallic thin pieces are erected in a honeycomb shape by arranging clearances and a plate-like electric heating body installed on an under surface of this thin layer body through a heat transfer board, and the wax occlusion rim smoothing device also serves as the softening device.
