Abstract:
To provide a wet multiplate clutch which can prevent the deterioration of a lubricant, and can improve the cooling performance of the clutch by suppressing the stagnation of the lubricant supplied into the clutch.SOLUTION: A wet multiplate clutch comprises: an inside oil path 6 in which a lubricant supplied from a side opposite to a piston 30 passes an inside-diameter side of a clutch disc and a clutch plate, and passes the inside of a working fluid chamber 34 of the piston in an axial direction; and an outside oil path 7 in which the lubricant supplied from the side opposite to the piston passes an outside-diameter side of the clutch disc and the clutch plate, and passes the outside of the working fluid chamber. A variable throttle part 40 for changing a flow passage area accompanied by an operation of the piston is arranged in a region in which a clutch hub 20 in the inside oil path and the piston oppose each other. At the engagement of the clutch, a larger quantity of the lubricant is made to flow into the outside oil path while expanding the flow passage area of the variable throttle part, and at the non-engagement of the clutch, a large quantity of the lubricant is made to flow into the inside oil path while narrowing the flow passage area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
