PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backrest in which a lumbar support device is arranged in an inconspicuous state.SOLUTION: A backrest 2 comprises a back frame 6 opening in the front and rear, and a front frame attached to a front face of the back frame and opening in the front and rear, and a mesh material 9 is stretched over the front frame 8. A lumbar support device 16 is attached to a rear face part of the front frame 8. A lumbar pad 22 has a body case 19 opening forward, and a lumbar pad 22 that can rise and lower.
