The current collector (110) includes a first surface (112) and a second surface (114). The second surface (114) is opposite to the first surface (112). The first active material layer (122) is positioned over the first surface (112) of the current collector (110). The first insulating layer (322) faces the first active material layer (122) of the positive electrode (100). The first active material layer (122) contains at least one carbon. The first insulating layer (322) contains magnesium hydroxide particles. A product of an area density and a specific surface area of the magnesium hydroxide particles is equal to or greater than 0.20 times a sum of products of an area density and a specific surface area of each of the at least one carbon.
