Abstract:
To provide a building board with vintage-like appearance obtained by consolidating a woody laminate (conifer plywood and the like) made by laminating unit constituent boards having fallen knots.SOLUTION: A building board 10 is obtained by consolidating 9-ply conifer plywood 12 including first veneer 11a having a fallen knot 14. In consolidating, a portion 11b' of second veneer 11b enters into the fallen knot of the first veneer, forming a filled hole portion 15 that is a filled fallen knot on the surface of the first veneer 11a. The compression ratio decreases at the filled hole portion, resulting in the low density and light color surface, while other portion is highly compressed so that the surface becomes a dark color portion 16, thus, shading difference is expressed and a vintage taste is generated. When a plywood formed by bonding pieces of veneer with a phenolic adhesive is used, the color of the reddish brown phenolic adhesive is changed to the darker reddish brown due to consolidation and appears on the surface of the filled hole portion so as to look like an authentic fallen knot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
