Title:
ENDOLUMINAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018043060
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoluminal device for use in the pancreatic duct that minimizes or eliminates irritation to the duct tissue during advancement and/or deployment of the device.SOLUTION: An endoluminal device comprises a stent formed of a plurality of wires and comprising a self-expandable braided-wire framework. The endoluminal device has a proximal end region, a distal end region, and a medial region extending between the proximal end region and the distal end region. The distal end region of the endoluminal device is more flexible than the medial region so that the radial compressive force in a reduced diameter state is less in the distal end region than in the medial region. The distal end region includes a plurality of loops formed from a plurality of wires, each loop having a length in the axial direction and a width in the circumferential direction, where the length is greater than the width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
