Abstract:
To provide a linear brake which can increase clamp force while suppressing an increase in size.SOLUTION: A fluid pressure piston 60 for clamp is arranged in parallel to a guide rail 10 in side wall sections 41 on both sides of a gate type housing 40 straddling the guide rail 10. A brake shoe 51 held inside the side wall sections 41 is forcibly pressed to a side face of the guide rail 10 so as to clamp the guide rail 10 by propelling and driving the fluid pressure piston 60 from one end side to the other end side of the housing 40. Cassette type boosting units 30A and 30B are connected in series and detachably to the one end side (piston propelling direction upstream side) of the housing 40. The boosting units 30A and 30B are a gate type straddling the guide rail 10, have pistons 33 for boosting which are propelled and driven to the housing 40 side in the side wall sections 31 on both sides, and increase clamp force according to the connection number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
