Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal mold by which a guiding portion can be formed at a marginal part with a recess of a stripper plate without use of an electro-deposition grind stone.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a metal mold which comprises a stripper plate having a punch guide hole for guiding movement of a punch and has a recess which is further opened than the punch guide hole on a principal surface of the stripper plate. The method includes: a process in which an electrode for electric discharge processing, which is larger than the punch guide hole and smaller than an opening dimension of the recess is located in the recess of the stripper plate, and a shape of the punch guide hole is transferred to the electrode by performing electric discharge processing with a reversed polarity in which the electrode is so made as to be a positive pole and the stripper plate is so made as to be a negative pole; and a process in which a guiding portion is formed at a marginal part of the punch guide hole by performing electric discharge processing with a positive polarity in which the electrode to which the shape of the punch guide hole is transferred is so made as to be a negative pole and the stripper plate is so made as to be a positive pole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
