PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for silver powder, which enables silver powder having an average particle diameter of 0.3 to 2.0 μm and narrow particle size distribution to be produced with high productivity and at low cost, and silver powder produced by the production method.SOLUTION: The production method for silver powder is provided in which silver solution containing silver complex and reducing agent solution are each supplied to a flow passage in a constant amount and continuously and mixed with each other in the flow passage to obtain reaction solution and silver complex is reduced in a constant amount and continuously in the reaction solution. In the production method for silver powder, the reaction solution contains distribution agent, silver concentration in the reaction solution is adjust within the range of 5 to 75 g/L, and chlorine contents is 40 mass ppm or less. The production method provides the silver powder in which an average particle diameter of primary particle measured by scanning electron microscope observation is 0.3 to 2.0 μm and a value obtained by dividing standard deviation of particle diameter with its average value is 0.3 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
