Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Neisserial DNA sequence encoding an antigenic or immunogenic protein.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the use of a protein from Neisseria meningitidis including an amino acid sequence and a corresponding nucleotide sequence. This protein is predicted to be a useful antigen for vaccines and/or diagnostic agents. The present invention provides a Neisseria meningitidis menB nucleotide sequence and an amino acid sequence encoded therein. Using these disclosed sequences, nucleic acid probe assays as well as expression cassettes and expression vectors can be produced. Expression vectors can be transformed into host cells to produce proteins.SELECTED DRAWING: None
