Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple recovery method of a noble metal capable of efficiently recovering a noble metal from an aqueous solution containing a Sn-containing hydrochloric acid acidic recovery liquid of a noble metal catalyst.SOLUTION: A noble metal is recovered from a Sn-containing hydrochloric acid acidic recovery liquid of a noble metal catalyst by activated carbon adsorption. The recovery method of a noble metal includes an addition step for preparing an after-addition-solution obtained by adding an organic compound having a carboxy group in the molecule to an aqueous solution containing the recovery liquid, a step for passing the after-addition-solution through an activated carbon layer containing activated carbon that has an absolute value of 0-25 mV of a difference between a zeta potential in an aqueous solution of 10 mmol/L sodium tetraborate and a zeta potential in an aqueous solution of 0.01 mmol/L sodium tetraborate and has a pore volume of pores having a radius of 1 nm or less of 45-500 mm/g, and a step for separating the activated carbon layer from the after-addition-solution having passed through the activated carbon.
